East Nashville Fruit Market Fire Closes Dickerson Road
An early-morning fire at an East Nashville fruit market forced some lanes of Dickerson Road to close early Monday
EAST NASHVILLE, TN — A fire at a East Nashville fruit market early Monday closed some lanes on Dickerson Road.
Firefighters were called to the Uptown Fruit Market on Dickerson Road a few blocks from its intersection with Trinity Lane around 4 a.m. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)
No one was injured in the fire and firefighters salvaged most of the business, even though investigators believe the fire, which likely began in the ceiling, had been burning for some time before crews arrived.
