Fork-Wielding Attacker Picks On Wrong Guy: Police
A man armed with a fork found out the hard way that some people carry guns, according to police.
HERMITAGE, TN — A man armed with a fork tried to attack a man armed with a Glock 19 at a Hermitage hotel Sunday afternoon, Metro Police said.
Two men entered an elevator at the Suburban Lodge on Central Pike in Hermitage and were joined on the ride by 48-year-old James Grisham. The men exited the elevator and walked toward their room. Grisham exited on the same floor and walked in the opposite direction, according to an affidavit. A few minutes later, one of the men opened the door to see Grisham standing outside, he told police. He said Grisham pulled out an object and tried to stab him, so he pushed Grisham down, grabbed his Glock 19 and shot Grisham in the bicep. The man is a handgun carry permit holder.

Grisham fled with his weapon, but the shooter was able to catch up to him and detain him until police arrived. It was then he discovered that Grisham was actually attacking him with a fork.
Grisham, who did not have a room at the hotel, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
