Nashville Gunfight Kills 1, Injures Another
An exchange of gunfire killed one person Tuesday, Nashville's 71st homicide of 2017.

NASHVILLE, TN — A gun battle near Brick Church Pike ended with the death of one person and left a second hospitalized Tuesday.
The pair were driving on Village Trail, sparking an exchange of gunfire between them and a person on a sidewalk. Both of the car's occupants were struck by bullets, but the driver managed to make it to the Exxon in Talbot's Corner — three miles away — to call for help. Both of the victims were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where one was pronounced dead, Nashville's 71st homicide victim of 2017.
