One Escaped Teen Captured, Second Still On The Run From Donelson Detention Facility
A 16-year-old who escaped from a Donelson detention center was captured in Carthage, though his cohort remains on the lam.

DONELSON, TN — A 16-year-old who escaped from state custody at a Donelson detention facility was captured Monday in Carthage, but another escapee is still on the loose, according to police.
The 16-year-old, who was not identified, was taken into custody by the Carthage Police late Monday morning and refused to answer questions on how he made it from the G4S Stones River Academy on Stewarts Ferry Pike in Donelson to Smith County.

The second escaped teen, Jacob S. Byrd, 17, remains on the lam. Byrd, who was in state custody for aggravated burglary out of Hamilton County, and the 16-year-old escaped via a window at the facility at approximately 12:30 a.m Monday.
