South Boston Man Arrested On Child Sex Charges In Nashville
An 18-year-old South Boston man flew to Nashville to have sex with a Goodlettsville 13-year-old he met online, police say.

GOODLETTSVILLE, TN — An 18-year-old from Massachusetts flew to Tennessee to have sex with a 13-year-old girl he met online, according to Nashville police.
The teenager's father called the police July 11 because of a suspicious man on his Goodlettsville property. He told officers that he returned home to find Jonathan Elliot in the house with his 13-year-old daughter. Elliot told police he had flown in from Boston earlier in the day to meet the girl, who he had met playing games on the Internet, and "to shoot pictures for a school project." The girl told detectives she had engaged in sexual activity with Elliot, who, according to a police report, later admitted she had performed oral sex on him. During an interview, Elliot allegedly said he "had an ongoing relationship" with the girl for four months, had sent her nude photos and video of him masturbating and had asked for and received explicit photos and videos from the girl, as well.

Elliot allegedly told investigators he was aware the girl was 13 during their "relationship."
Elliot is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and statutory rape — both felonies — and solicitation of a minor and providing obscene material to a minor, both misdemeanors. He is free on $65,000 bond and was due for his first court appearance Friday.
