Spike Strips Stop Fleeing Driver In Old Hickory
An early-morning four-mile chase in Old Hickory ended with the driver on the business end of some spike strips.

OLD HICKORY, TN — A fleeing drove found himself facing the business end of a set of spike strips early Wednesday morning in Old Hickory.
Patrol officers saw an SUV stopped in the middle of the street at the Robinson Road and Industrial Drive intersection around 2:30 a.m. and as the approached the driver, the vehicle sped away. The officers gave chase for four miles, eventually calling for back-up, which deployed the spike strips at Granwood Drive near The Hermitage.
