1 Arrested, More Sought In String Of Franklin Car Break-Ins

Franklin Police arrested a 19-year-old and are searching for at least one other man in a rash of auto break-ins.

FRANKLIN, TN — Franklin Police identified two suspects in a string of auto burglaries that have struck three subdivisions this summer.

Investigators say Clayton Wallos, 19, and Nicholas Owens, 18, were involved in as many as eight auto burglaries and a home burglary in the Fieldstone Farms, Westhaven, and Chestnut Bend subdivisions in June and July. Wallos was arrested Wednesday and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle. Police expect additional charges. Police said anyone with information about Owens — pictured at right above — should call CrimeStoppers at 615-794-4000.

Detectives have recovered several items stolen during the recent burglaries, though not three guns stolen from unlocked cars.

Detectives expect to make several more arrests.
