Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:
- One of downtown Franklin's treasured traditions is celebrating its 38th year. The Main Street Festival returned this past weekend after being canceled in 2020 and rescheduled in 2021 because of the pandemic. The Main Street square acted as the hub for this festival with more than 150 arts and craft vendors, over 30 food vendors, kids' activities, and live music. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
- The Franklin Fire Department has announced its 2021 award winners. This includes recipients of the Personnel of the Year, Phoenix, Stork, and Deployment Awards. One of the five 2021 Phoenix Awards, which are given to those who help save the life of a patient in cardiac arrest, includes two Franklin Police Officers among the honorees. (Williamson Source)
- The American Red Cross is continuing its partnership with the Nashville Predators Foundation to host a multi-city blood drive from Apr. 25 to Apr. 29. Two drives will be held here in Franklin: one on April 26 at the Nashville Predators Galleria from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m, and another on Apr. 28 at the Natchez Trace American Red Cross Chapter, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Click for a full list of the blood drive locations and dates.
