🌱 5 Model Schools For Behavior + Plea For GraceWorks Ministries
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Franklin.
Good day, people of Franklin! It's me again, Sean Peek, your host of the Franklin Daily.
First, today's weather:
Colder. High: 37 Low: 17.
Here are the top two stories in Franklin today:
- Last week, five Franklin Special School District Schools were awarded the stature of being RTI2-B Model of Demonstration (MOD) schools by the Tennessee Tiered Supports Center (TSC) at Vanderbilt University. The five schools are Freedom Intermediate, Liberty Elementary, Poplar Grove Elementary, and Poplar Grove Middle. Model of Demonstration schools are seen as top examples for local training and technical assistance, and they are often asked to host visitors who are looking to enhance their implementation skills. - Franklin Mayor Ken Moore and Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson are working together to engage business owners, churches, and citizens to keep GraceWorks Ministries in Franklin. Established 26 years ago, GraceWorks helps the impoverished in the community. They will be losing their 21-year lease in June of 2023 and are currently looking for a new leaseable space or permanent home for their community resource center. (Williamson Herald)
From our sponsor:
Last week, we told you about our new favorite non-alcoholic go-to — the refreshingly bitter drinks from our partners at Betera. They're chef-created from natural botanicals, lightly effervescent and worthy of life beyond "Dry January." We mentioned that their Ginger-Orange was excellent; we've since tried Elderflower-Lime and loved it as well — light and floral with the perfect amount of zing. We're converts.
Enough of you took Betera up on their 15% discount on first orders for Patch Daily readers that they've extended the offer for another week. Use PATCH15 at checkout. Highly recommended — try Betera here.
