Franklin Police, FBI Search for Suspect in Attempted Bank Robbery

FRANKLIN, TN — Franklin Police and the FBI are searching for a man who started to rob a bank in Berry Farms, but fled before finishing the job.

Around 10:45 a.m., a man entered Franklin Synergy Bank on Moss Lane in the Berry Farms area and told a teller he intended to rob the bank, but fled before actually receiving any money.

Investigators are looking for a white male who 5-feet, 7-inches tall with a medium build. The suspect was described as having tan, leathery skin and a white goatee was wearing a blue and grey plaid flannel jacket, a yellow construction vest and tan pants.Witnesses told police the man had "noticeably yellow teeth in very poor condition."

There were no surveillance photos immediately available.

The scene is secured and poses no threat.
