Happy Thursday, people of Franklin! Here's everything you need to know going on today.

A little afternoon rain. High: 66 Low: 57.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Franklin:

  1. Franklin has been named of 50 Best Places to Travel in 2022 by Travel + Leisure Magazine. The publication praised Franklin for its small-town charms — "a quintessentially quaint downtown chock-full of shops and restaurants finding shelter in brick storefronts lining the sidewalks." Travel + Leisure also highlighted the city's historical sites and museums, as well as the food and drink scene, with mentions of Arrington Vineyards and Tennessee Whiskey Trail. (Williamson Source)
  2. Educational Media Foundation, the parent company of contemporary Christian radio networks K-LOVE and Air1, is officially relocating its global headquarters to the Berry Farms community in southern Franklin. The company announced its move to the Nashville area from California in March 2021. According to EMF CEO Bill Reeves, Middle Tennessee is "the hub for Christian musicians, publishers, filmmakers and industry professionals, making it a great place for us to call 'home.'" (Tennesseean)
  3. Last weekend, Franklin held its 36th Dickens of a Christmas, an annual festival that transports the city's Main Street back to the time of Charles Dickens. Sponsored by The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, the festival's attendees dress in era-appropriate clothing and sing carols, sew quilts, show off woodworking, and play music. Check out this collection of photos from the weekend's festivities! (Shoal Insider)
