Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- The Franklin Police Department updates residents on an incident that is currently circulating on social media through a video. According to the department, the video shows a man removing a campaign sign from a lawn and tossing it near the home's front door. The man has been identified and could be charged with criminal trespass. At this time, the homeowner does not want to prosecute. (Press Release Desk)
- A new Franklin resort aims to merge luxury with farming. The 325-acre resort titled Southall is expected to open this winter in the heart of Franklin. - MADE SOUTH's Southern Whiskey Society at Franklin's Factory will be benefiting One Generation Away. The whiskey and food tasting event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. One Generation Away is a Franklin-based nonprofit dedicated to wiping out hunger. (Tennessean)
