🌱 Cash Reward For ID Of Fragrance Thieves + Unemployment Down

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Franklin.

Hey Franklin: As you may know, Amazon Web Services experienced an outage on Tuesday that affected the Franklin Daily. Some of you might have received a late newsletter on Wednesday, or no newsletter at all. Please know this was unfortunately beyond our control, but know that we are fully back in business!

Here are the top stories in Franklin today:

  1. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that helps the Franklin Police identify the thieves who stole more than $1,000 in fine fragrances from the CoolSprings Ulta store. Police released a Dec. 3 surveillance video of the two suspects, both of whom speak Spanish. Anyone who recognizes the men in the video is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (615) 794-4000.   2. The latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that unemployment in the Franklin area and continues to be lower than it was at the beginning of the pandemic. The Williamson County unemployment rate was 2.2 percent in October, down from 2.3 percent in September. By comparison, the county's unemployment rate stood at 4.7 percent during the same time last year. Of note, Williamson County's rate is significantly lower than the national unemployment rate of 4.2 as of November 2021. (Franklin Patch)
  3. The Kiwanis Club of Historic Downtown Franklin held its annual Christmas Parade this past Saturday. The Club partnered with the Williamson County Schools Fine Arts Department to showcase the talents of students, as well as six local high school marching bands.
