“Leigh’s work at Centennial has been exceptional, and I know that she will be missed there,” superintendent Mike Looney said. “However, this is an opportunity for her to continue to learn more about district operations, and honestly, we need her leadership skills and expertise in the HR department at the Central Office now.”

Webb said leaving Centennial will be difficult, but she is looking forward to the challenge of her new role.
“It has been my honor to serve as the proud principal of Centennial High,” said Webb. “Throughout my 16 years as a high school administrator, nowhere else have I experienced the sense of family and community that Centennial possesses. There is something very special happening here. Centennial is a first class community in every facet. I will have the opportunity to continue to support CHS in my new role while also providing guidance and support to all the schools in the district. ... I have tremendous respect for the passion and expertise Chris will bring to this position and our community. I am very excited to see what lies ahead for our community under his great leadership."

Hames has previously served as an assistant principal at Fairview High School in addition to Brentwood. He previously served as principal of Cameron Middle School in Metro for four years and as assistant principal of Hardeman County's Middleton High School.
