College Grove Man Killed In House Fire; Home Had No Smoke Alarms
More than two dozen firefighters from three different departments fought a deadly fire in rural College Grove early Sunday morning.

COLLEGE GROVE, TN — A man was killed in a house fire in rural College Grove Sunday morning. The home had no smoke alarms, fire officials said.
A passerby on Old Bethesda-Duplex Road called 911 just after midnight Sunday, at first believing the blaze was a brush fire, but then realizing a home was aflame.
There was only one person inside the home and he was pronounced dead on the scene. Only about 25 percent of the house was destroyed. It took 25 firefighters from three counties an hour to put out the fire.
