Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:

  1. The Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen are providing support to retired city employees through a 4.5 percent cost-of-living increase. The increase was approved during a meeting on Tuesday night. The increase will go into effect in July for those supported through the city's pension plan. (williamsonherald.com)
  2. The Franklin Police Department have arrested Taylor Reynolds on his second DUI incident and will be keeping him in jail until his court date. The incident occurred early Sunday morning on Interstate 65 near Peytonsville Road. He has been charged with driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, and driving under the influence.   3. The Williamson Medical Center is hosting a blood drive on May 24 in the parking lot at 3000 Edward Curd Lane in Franklin. The drive will be occurring between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome but participants are encouraged to sign up through the Blood Assurance website beforehand. (Williamson Source)
