Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- Country artist Walker Hayes will be hosting a book signing in Franklin on Tuesday, Aug. 23. Participants can grab a copy of his book "Glad You're Here" at the signing. - The Williamson County Performing Arts Center will be hosting the Franklin Light Opera's "The Best of Gilbert & Sullivan" from Sep. 9 through Sep. 11. The performance will celebrate the best of Gilbert and Sullivan selections. Tickets are $20 for adults under 55 years of age. Tickets for adults over 55 years of age are discounted to $16.50. - The 2022 Williamson County Fair organizers said this year's fair attendance was the largest ever recorded. The fair's revenue reportedly increased by 10 percent this year. Attendance increased by about 5 percent. More than 7,000 pounds of food was also collected in lieu of admission for GraceWorks Ministries — another record. (williamsonherald.com)
