Driver Dead In Single-Car State Route 96 Crash
The cause of a fatal Friday morning wreck outside Franklin remains under investigation.
FRANKLIN, TN — The driver in a one-car crash on State Route 96 outside of Franklin is dead.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is not yet sure what caused the wreck, but confirmed it did involve only one vehicle.

The wreck, about halfway between Arno Road and Chapel Road southeast of Franklin caused traffic delays, leading the THP to urge drivers to seek alternate routes Friday.
The driver was not identified.
