Here are the top stories in and around Franklin today:

  1. Big changes are coming to The Factory at Franklin, which was recently sold to Holladay Properties for $56 million. The new owners say they will transform the iconic former stove factory into a "national model for adaptive reuse of early 20th-century industrial structures." Holladay plans to create a "little city" with plazas, courtyards, and alleys, along with dining, shopping, entertainment, and office spaces. Nashville architecture firm Centric will be helping in The Factory revamp. (Tennessean)
  2. The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County held its 48th Annual Heritage Ball in Franklin this weekend. The black-tie event had a nature theme and championed historic preservation in a woodland wonderland. About 650 individuals attended this year's Ball, which was canceled last year due to the pandemic. (Tennessean)
  3. The West Main Street downtown Franklin home built by Minnie Pearl's grandparents, William and Ophelia House, is currently for sale, listed for $2,750,000. (Williamson Source)
