Fire At Pediatric Clinic Extinguished By Automatic Fire Sprinkler System
The sprinkler activation triggered the automatic fire alarm system and dispatch of the Franklin Fire Department.

Franklin, TN – A fire that broke out at an unoccupied pediatric clinic just before 9 PM last night (Friday, February 21, 2020) was extinguished by the building’s automatic fire sprinkler system. The sprinkler activation triggered the automatic fire alarm system and dispatch of the Franklin Fire Department.

Franklin Firefighters arrived at Pediatric Associates of Franklin, 570 Baker’s Bridge Avenue, at 8:52 PM to find light smoke and one active fire sprinkler, which had extinguished a fire in a patient examination room.
Franklin Fire Investigator Todd Wilson said that the damage was limited to the room where the fire originated. He estimated the damage at less than $10,000. Wilson said that no interruption of care is expected for the practice, which has nine physicians on staff, according to their website.
