Franklin Brush Fire Caused by Illegal Burn: Officials
A Franklin horse pasture burned when an illegal brush fire spread, officials say.

FRANKLIN, TN — Five acres in Franklin burned Christmas Eve when what officials described as an illegal brush fire burned out of control.
Fire crews were called to the 6400 block of Temple Road late Friday night. Before the flames could be extinguished more than five acres had burned, including 2.5 acres of a neighbor's horse pasture. Officials said the fire was caused by individuals burning brush brought in from a landscaping company. No state burn permit had been issued.
Charges are possible in the case. No injuries were reported.
