Franklin Man Arrested For 'Brutal' Assault On Construction Site Manager
A 43-year-old man allegedly punched, choked and bottled a construction site manager who caught him trespassing.

FRANKLIN, TN — Franklin Police arrested a 43-year-old man Tuesday for a "brutal" May 26 assault on a construction manager who caught him trespassing.
Gerard Kalbfell, 43, of Franklin, was arrested for the alleged attack at a Tower Circle construction site. The victim, a site manager, challenged Kalbfell who he said was trespassing in the construction site around 8:00 p.m. Kalbfell allegedly choked and repeatedly punched the victim. Kalbfell then went to trunk, retrieving a bottle with which he hit the victim about the head and mouth, police said. The victim was eventually able to run and flag down a passing car for help. Kalbfell fled, but was arrested yesterday after an investigation led to his identification as the suspect.

Kalbfell is charged with felony aggravated assault and is free on a $25,000 bond. The victim was transported to the Williamson Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
