Franklin Man Threatens, Spits On Officers: Police
Called to a disturbance in Cool Springs, Franklin Police say they encountered a man who threatened their lives and spit in their faces.

FRANKLIN, TN — Franklin Police say a 50-year-old man threatened their lives, spit in their faces and jumped on their squad car Tuesday.
At 3:30 Tuesday afternoon officers were called to a Cool Springs restaurant, responding to reports that a man was creating a disturbance inside. Officers encountered David Brown, 50, in the parking lot and arrested him.
During the arrest, Brown threatened to kill the officers, according to FPD and as they were walking him to the squad car, he jumped on its hood and began spitting in their faces. An officer was injured in the struggle, but was treated at the hospital and released.

Brown is charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and driving on a suspended license. He remains jailed on $20,000 bond.
