🌱 Franklin PD To Close Streets For Halloween + Election Held

First, today's weather:

Here are the top stories today in Franklin:

  1. Some downtown Franklin streets will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5-9 p.m. Sunday for trick-or-treaters. The Franklin Police Department will focus on neighborhood safety, the department said in a news release. That includes shutting down West Main Street and Fair Street between Seventh and 11th Avenues and Ninth Avenue between Natchez Street and Highway 96 West. (williamsonherald.com)
  2. The Franklin municipal election for new aldermen held on Tuesday. The election will change the face of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and is the largest turnover the board has seen in years. Five positions were open, but only one incumbent sought to retain their seat. Polls were open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Tennessean)
