Franklin Police Arrest Speeding Biker, Walgreens Wreck Driver For DUIs

A triple-digit-speed midnight motorcycle ride and a wreck at a Walgreens landed two Franklonians in jail for drunken driving.

FRANKLIN, TN — A motorcyclist driving north of 100 mph and a woman who went the wrong way out of a Walgreens were arrested for DUIs in Franklin.

Shortly after midnight Tuesday, a Franklin police officer running radar clocked a motorcycle in excess of 100 mph on Interstate 65 between Murfreesboro Road and McEwen Drive. The biker, 28-year-old Benjamin McIntyre, was impaired, according to police. He was arrested and charged with DUI and speeding and is being held in the Williamson County Jail on a $3,500 bond.

Earlier, around 6 p.m., officers responded to an injury accident on Downs Boulevard near State Route 96. Officers said 30-year-old Molly McCambridge, also of Franklin, had pulled out of a Walgreens parking lot and into the path of a car driving north on Downs. McCambridge was arrested for DUI. She is free on a $1,500 bond.
