Franklin Police: Lewisburg Man Pulls Gun In Road Rage Incident

Investigators say a 49-year-old Lewisburg man threatened to shoot a motorcyclist Saturday in Franklin.

FRANKLIN, TN — A 49-year-old Lewisburg man, angered by the driving of a motorcyclist, threatened to shoot and kill him Saturday, according to Franklin Police.

On Saturday, Eric Geiling pulled behind a motorcycle stopped on the shoulder of I-65 South, according to police. Geiling got out of his vehicle while holding a gun and approached the biker. Geiling threatened to shoot and kill him after apparently becoming upset over how the driver was operating the motorcycle. Geiling left the scene prior to officers arriving but was later tracked down and arrested.

Geiling is charged with aggravated assult and free on a $9,000 bond. He is due in court on June 22. If convicted, Geiling could face several years in prison and be fined up to $10,000.
