Franklin Police: Serial Shoplifter Surrenders
A woman accused of shoplifting $700 worth of merchandise from a Franklin Target and wanted across multiple counties surrendered Monday.

FRANKLIN, TN — A woman wanted in a string of shoplifting cases across multiple counties turned herself into Franklin police Monday.
Melissa Cruthrid, 47, turned herself in to the Williamson County jail. She was wanted by Franklin Police for allegedly stealing $700 in merchandise from the Columbia Avenue Target in May. She has since been linked to a second felony theft and a misdemeanor theft, all at Franklin-area Target stores, according to investigators.
Cruthrid, a convicted felon, is wanted in a number of other counties for similar thefts. She is being held in the Williamson County Jail.
