Here are the top 3 stories today in Franklin:
- Franklin Pride will return this summer to celebrate the LGBTQ+ population of Williamson County. More than 5,000 people are expected to turn out for the free festival, which will feature local vendors, family-friendly activities, and live music. This year's event will take place at Harlinsdale Park on Jun. 4 from 12:00-7:00 p.m. (Tennessean)
- A local surgeon has placed an easement on more than 100 acres of rural land in order to protect it from subdivision and overdevelopment. Dr. Douglas C. York hopes his land can be transformed into a passive public park that would include hiking trails, a small lake, and a pavilion. TennGreen Land Conservancy will monitor the land annually to ensure that the easement's terms are held in perpetuity. (Williamson Source)
- A second Damico Frame showroom is set to open this weekend in conjunction with eBike Motor Repair and the Franklin Bicycle Company. All three businesses are owned by Michael Damico, president of the Arts Council of Williamson County, and will be housed in a building on General George Patton Drive. They will open this Saturday, Apr. 2, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for next Monday, Apr. 4. (Williamson Herald)
