🌱 Proposed Shawnee Subdivision Approved + Shows Canceled

Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:

  1. On Tuesday night, the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a development plan for the proposed Shawnee subdivision. This plan includes six new residential buildings consisting of 26 apartments. To move forward, the Shawnee plan requires three modifications to development standards of the existing zoning ordinance.   2. The Downtown Franklin Association hosted its first Downtown Franklin Annual Awards last Thursday at The Harpeth Hotel. They awarded local businesses top prizes in the categories that included the best places for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, gifts, and more. (Williamson Herald)
  3. Studio Tenn in Franklin recently canceled the opening of its tribute to Aretha Franklin due to a COVID-19 outbreak among the company. The shows were slated to run from Feb. 10 - 20. The theater will still showcase its "Love Letters" show in mid-February. (Brentwood Homepage)
