Franklin Sets Friday Night Sobriety Checkpoint

Franklin Police will set up shop on South Royal Oaks to stop drunken drivers.

FRANKLIN, TN — Franklin Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday night, the department announced. Officers will set up the roadblock on South Royals Oaks Boulevard.

The checkpoint will be funded through a grant from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.

Through grant funding awarded by the THSO, the FPD is provided with support and resources that help to combat impaired driving, including sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols, training, equipment, and overtime pay for Franklin Police Officers conducting those checkpoints and patrols.
