Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- Many of Franklin Main Street's small business owners are struggling to withstand recent economic constraints. The businesses are reluctantly raising prices while hoping that customers remain loyal. Rising rent and gas prices continue to impact the Franklin community. The small business owners are thankful that the Franklin community continues to offer support. (Williamson Herald)
- The Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen will be hiring a new city court judge this week. The hiring is necessary after the resignation of Judge Deana Hood that goes into effect at the end of August. The city began accepting applications for the open position in late May. The position has 4 final applicants. (Williamson Herald)
- Franklin's city offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5 in observance of Labor Day. Trash collection will be on a one-day delay for the rest of the week. Please plan accordingly. (City of Franklin)
