Here are the top 3 stories in Franklin today:

  1. This Friday, the City of Franklin will name its first local street after a Franklin-born veteran. This will take place at 10:00 a.m. at Carlisle Lane and Old Charlotte Pike. Roy F. Alley was a World War II veteran and he received a purple heart. The Street will be named Roy F. Alley Ct. The renaming is part of the Veterans Street Naming project launched in 2018 and any other suggestions are welcome. (Williamson Source)

There are three different pay augmentation plans being considered and if approved by the county commission, the raises will be effective as of Feb. 1.
