Franklin Traffic Stop Leads To Million-Plus Meth Bust
Williamson County sheriff's deputies say a K9 officer tipped them off to $1.2 million worth of meth in a pick-up.
FRANKLIN, TN — A simple traffic stop led to a massive drug bust, Williamson County sheriff's officials say.
Deputies stopped Francisco Luna, 21, of Edinburg, Texas for failing to maintain his lane near the Franklin exit on Interstate 65.
During the stop, K9 officer Ammo alerted deputies tothe presence of narcotics in the bed of the 2000 Ford F250 pickup truck, investigators say.

In the bed, deputies say they found 20 rolls of industrial shrink wrap with crystal meth inside each tube. The street value of the meth was estimated at $1.2 million.
Luna is charged with manufacture/distribution of schedule II drugs, introduction of contraband into a penal facility plus the original failure to maintain lane of travel charge. His bond was set at $800,000.
