FRANKLIN, TN — Rain will start the week, according tothe National Weather Service forecast for Franklin. Temperatures cool off later in the week after the rain moves out.

Monday: A 70 percent chance of showers and storms with a high of 65. Winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Showers and thunderstorms virtually certain after dark, with a low of 53. Winds of 20 to 30 mph, decreasing to 5 to 15 mph. Gusts of 45 mph are possible.

Tuesday: Sunny, high of 72. Winds increasing from 5 to 10 mph to 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. An 80 percent chance of showers and storms into night with a low of 50.

Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers before noon, then mostly cloudy, high of 62. Partly cloudy in the evening, a low of 36.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, high of 51. Mostly clear overnight, low of 32.
