The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Franklin.

Happy Wednesday, people of Franklin! Here's everything you need to know to start today off on an informed note. Here's everything happening in town today.

First, today's weather:

Breezy in the afternoon. High: 59 Low: 30.

Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:

  1. When Nelson Turner and his wife, Elva, relocated to Franklin from California in 2019, they felt a need and a desire to connect with others about wine. The couple then went on to launch the Franklin Wine Club. The group will hold its inaugural event at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, at a member's home. Due to overwhelming support, the couple had to put a cap on attendance, creating a waitlist for those who want to join for the next event. (williamsonherald.com)
  2. The Jeffrey Steele & Friends fundraiser concert is set for its 15th year. The event will take place on March 7 at the Franklin Theatre and will support overlooked and at-risk youth in Middle Tennessee and beyond in the memory of Steele's son, Alex, who passed away in 2007. With help from the Jeffrey Steele & Friends events, The Alex LeVasseur Memorial Fund has been able to build partnerships and lend support to many youth-focused organizations. (williamsonherald.com)
