Here are the top 3 stories today in Franklin:

  1. All 51 schools in the Williamson County School District will be closed again today, Jan. 7, after yesterday's heavy snowfall. The Count, along with much of Middle Tennessee, was under a winter storm warning until 8 p.m. last night, and with overnight temperatures dropping into the teens and single digits, hazardous travel conditions are expected to worsen in the area today. An announcement from the school district indicated that today's closure includes the School Age Child Care program. (Community Impact)

This month's topic is "New Year, What's Ahead" and will feature a panel of guests offering their forecast for Franklin's 2022. The lecture will be held virtually via Zoom; registration is available online. (Press Release Desk)
  3. The City of Franklin is currently working on the Goose Creek Coordinated Study and will host a community meeting on Thursday, Jan. 13th in City Hall.
