- This Friday, Mar. 18, Franklin-area pet owners can head to the new Williamson County Animal Shelter (WCAC) location to pick up free pet food. The new address is 1006 Grigsby Hayes Court in Franklin, near the Franklin Christian Academy. WCAC's monthly Paw Pantry program is available from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to county residents; proof of residence will be required. (Williamson Source)
- A new shop "celebrating the Southern lifestyle" will be headed to the CoolSprings Galleria this summer. South Carolina-based store Palmetto Moon carries a wide selection of lifestyle brands and collegiate gear. This will be the brand's first location in Williamson County; the opening date has not yet been released. (Williamson Source)
- On Tuesday night, Franklin fire crews responded to a blaze near Jim Warren Park that left one dog dead and another injured. Firefighters could not rescue the animals in time due to heavy smoke coming from the eaves as well as fire in the attic. The injured dog was treated by firefighters at the scene, then transported to a local veterinary clinic for further care. The dogs' owner was not home at the time of the fire. (WSMV 4)
