- A judge has ruled that Governor Bill Lee's mask order violates federal law and will remain blocked in Williamson County. The Governor's executive order would allow parents to opt their children out of school mask mandates. U.S. District Judge Waverly D. Crenshaw's ruling continues to prevent the order from taking effect after two families of children with disabilities sued Williamson County Schools, the Franklin Special School District, and the state over Lee's decision. (Tennessean)
- Olympic gymnast Ali Raisman is slated to speak at the Davis House fundraising gala tomorrow at the Homestead Manor, located just south of Franklin in Thompson Station. The Davis House Advocacy Center has worked for the last two decades to help children and families in Williamson, Lewis, Hickman, and Perry Counties who have been impacted by child abuse. Executive Director Brent Hutchinson says Raisman's story of abuse survivorship, strength, and resilience is one "we really hope to inspire our audience with." (WKRN News 2)
