Here are the top stories in Franklin today:
- H.G. Hill Realty Company has announced a November 2021 demolition date for the unoccupied structures at Hill Center Franklin. The property, which previously housed an Autozone, Piggly Wiggly, and Our Thrift Store, is adjacent to the Franklin Police Department and the Carter House, with an address range of 926-1022 Columbia Ave. Asbestos removal began on Oct. 11 and H.G. Hill anticipates starting demolition in just a few weeks. (Williamson Source)
- The historic Samuel S. Morton House, situated on a 600-acre farm formerly owned by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, is currently on the market. The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home, which was built in 1850, is located at 4009 Carters Creek Pike in Franklin. The property comes with 135 acres and is currently listed by the McEwen Group for just under $10 million. (Williamson Source)
- MAPCO Inc., a Franklin, Tennessee-based company that owns 330 convenience stores across the southern United States, held a grand opening on Thursday for its new Nashville flagship store on Trousdale Drive. (Convenience Store News)
- The Tennessee Hospital Association held its 2021 Annual Meeting at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs this week, where the organization provided three days of continuing education for health care professionals and honored multiple Tennessee health facilities and leaders for their contributions to the industry this year.
