Lightning Strikes Franklin Home, Family Escapes Ensuing Fire
Franklin firefighters were nearby when a woman said her house was on fire.

FRANKLIN, TN — Lighting struck a Franklin home during Thursday afternoon's storms, sparking a fire that caused at least $60,000 in damage.

The woman, her child and two pets were able to escape the home safely. When crews arrived, they were able to see smoke coming from the home's attic.
