Mars Petcare Plans Cool Springs Move

FRANKLIN, TN — Mars Petcare will consolidate its headquarters operation in Williamson County into the Ovation development in Cool Springs in 2019.

Raleigh, N.C.-based Highwoods will develop 224,000 square feet in two connected office buildings at a projected cost of $96 million. Construction is slated to begin later this year with a target completion date in the second quarter of 2019.

Ovation, encompassing 145 overall acres, will be a high-density, mixed-use development with 56 acres of preserved green space. The plan calls for a total of 1.4 million square feet of office space, 480,000 square feet of retail, 950 residential units and 450 hotel rooms.

Mars Petcare employs nearly 1,000 people in Williamson County.
