Nancy Garrett Appointed to Williamson County School Board Seat

Long-time Franklin resident Nancy Garrett replaces the resigning Susan Curlee on the county's board of education.

FRANKLIN, TN β€” Nancy Garrett, a life-long Franklin resident, was appointed Monday to the Williamson County school board.

The county commission voted 17-4 to appoint Garrett to serve as the 12th District board member, replacing Susan Curlee, who resigned the position in September.

β€œI am seeking this appointment because Williamson County Schools truly changed my life,” Garrett, who grew up attending WCS, said, according to the Franklin Home Page. β€œI understand the needs of the 12th District and WCS as a whole. Our district is facing significant issues of growth, personnel shortages and funding to meet anticipated district growth. The current situation requires board members with a willingness to think of creative solutions and problem solve.”
