- The Williamson Medical Center received the Center of Excellence in Education and Training for Infants and Families Affected by Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome designation from the Vermont Oxford Network. The award recognizes that Williamson Medical Center is among the 85 percent of the multidisciplinary care teams across the state that are trained to handle Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. Infants with the syndrome are more likely to have respiratory complications, feeding difficulty, low birthweights, and extended hospital stays. (Williamson Source)
- The City of Franklin is naming its first local street after a Franklin veteran at Carlisle Lane and Old Charlotte Pike. The street will be named after Franklin born and raised Roy F. Alley a World War Two veteran and recipient of the purple heart. The street naming is part of the Veterans Street Naming project that was launched in 2018. (Press Release Desk)
- Franklin female business executives met with Nolensville female business executives for Tennessee Women Connect networking event. The event was at Mill Creek Brewing Company and included more than 140 women in attendance. Tennessee Women Connect members come from every type of industry and there is no cap on who can join.
