Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:

  1. Williamson County Schools answered questions on Monday about banning books in Franklin and other area schools. The district explicitly said that they are not considering or requesting to move any books from the school system. They reviewed 31 books or texts in the request and concluded that none of them would be removed from the school library or teachers' library. (Williamson Source)
  2. Red Pony, the popular bar and restaurant, returned to its downtown Franklin Main Street location on Tuesday night. The restaurant was displaced from their home of 15 years after the building was damaged by a fire last year. Red Pony temporarily moved to McConnell House while the original location was being rebuilt. (williamsonherald.com)
  3. An accident on I-65 N has left one person dead. The accident occurred around 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning when a passenger vehicle was struck by a semi-truck. The driver of the vehicle was killed on impact. (WZTV)
