Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:
- In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, Franklin Transit Service will be shut down. This means that all public transportation options will be unavailable for the day. Despite the lack of public transit, there are plenty of events going on throughout the day to celebrate the holiday. Service will resume on Tuesday. (williamsonherald.com)
- Franklin fast food lovers are bidding goodbye to the local Hardee's. The restaurant was located on Columbia Avenue. Patrons were alerted to the closure by a sign on the door, indicating that the restaurant is permanently shutting its doors. Those who need to satisfy their Hardee's hankering were advised to visit their other Franklin location on Murfreesboro Road. (Williamson Source)
- On Jan. 22, throw on your favorite pair of dancing shoes and get ready to cut a rug. The Williamson County Performing Arts Center is bring back the wildly popular Sunday Swing event. You'll get a crash course on swing dancing before strutting your stuff. Music will be performed by 5 Points Swing Band. (Visit Franklin)
