Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- The Williamson County Election Commission reports that its first post-election audit showed 100 percent accuracy in its count. The commission by law is required to audit the highest countywide contested office on the ballot for both parties — the 21st Judicial District circuit court judge for Republicans and the county clerk race for Democrats. The audit compared the counted ballots with the scanned ballots. (williamsonherald.com)
- Franklin Five Points Market will be open every Tuesday until Oct. 25, 2022. The market is located at 100 5th Avenue North from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Participants will be able to enjoy food and live music while browsing local vendors' goods. (Williamson Source)
- Williamson County Emergency Management crews responded to a residential fire on Monday night. The incident occurred in the 6800 block of Flat Creek Road. The fire required the assistance of multiple tanker trucks. The department is currently investigating the cause of the fire. (WSMV 4)
