Rep. Marsha Blackburn Tapped for Donald Trump Transition Team
Tennessee Republican Marsha Blackburn added to transition team's executive committee in post-election shake-up.
WASHINGTON — In a post-election shake-up, Rep. Marsha Blackburn was added to the executive committee of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team.
The Franklin Republican was a sometime-surrogate of the real estate developer and reality television personality who shocked the world with his defeat of former Secretary of State and senator Hillary Clinton Tuesday.
In the wake of his election win, Trump rejiggered his transition team, replacing New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie with his running mate, Mike Pence, at the top of the team and adding executive committee members, including Blackburn.

"It is an honor to be asked to serve on the Executive Committee for the Trump Transition. When VP-elect Mike Pence was in Congress, I had the opportunity to work with him and look forward to again working with him in this role," Blackburn said in a statement.
Among the other members added to the transition team were Trump's adult children Ivanka, Don and Eric.
