- The Battle of Franklin Trust (BOFT) will offer two guided tours at Rippavilla on Oct. 21 and 22 at 6 p.m. The CEO of BOFT, Eric A. Jacobson, described the evening tours as an opportunity to give visitors a unique perspective on the historic plantation, its role in the Battle of Spring Hill, as well as stories about former residents. Tour groups will be limited and tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. (Columbia Daily Herald)
- An amber alert was cancelled early Thursday morning after a boy was found safe and asleep in an abandoned vehicle in East Nashville. 1-year-old Nolan Ishimwe was reported missing after being left alone Wednesday night in the back seat of his parent's car, which was stolen from the parking lot of the Inglewood Kroger on Gallatin Pike. Police are looking for suspect Brandi Rhodes. (WKRN News 2)

- After 31 years, Hermitage Cafe will be closing its doors for good on Halloween night after the location was sold without the owner's knowledge. (NewsChannel5.com)
