Sex Offender Accused Of Propositioning Teens, Indecent Exposure At Franklin Park

FRANKLIN, TN — Franklin Police say a convicted sex offender exposed himself to two teenagers and propositioned the pair at a city park Saturday.

Officers were called to Pinkerton Park on a complaint a man approached the teens while exposing himself near a playground.

After searching the park, officers found Mario Buchanan, 41, who investigators say was identified by witnesses. He is charged with two counts of indecent exposute and two counts of attempted sexual battery. FPD officials say more charges may be levied. He is being held on a $10,000 bond,

Buchanan was convicted of two counts of statutory rape in 1995 according to the state's sex offender registry.
