Show A Little Pittie: WCAC Waives Adoption Fees on Pit Bulls

October is National Pit Bull Month and to celebrate, WCAC is offering up fee-free adoptions on the dogs.

FRANKLIN, TN — October is National Pit Bull Month and to celebrate, Williamson County Adoption Center l is hosting a "Pittie Party," waiving adoption fees for all dogs that meet the criteria to be considered a pit bull or pit bull mix.

The event runs through October 23 at the shelter at 106 Claude Yates Drive in Franklin. Metro Animal Care and Control is also participating.

“Both MACC and WCAC treat each dog in their programs as individuals.” said Rebecca Morris, Spokesperson for Metro Animal Care and Control. “Right now our shelter is full of pittie mixes and we hope Nashville residents will consider adopting during our Pittie Party.”

Adoption hours at WCAC are Monday through Friday 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.- 3 p.m., and Sunday noon-4 p.m.
